Soft Skills

Communication

When working as an intern, I had to know how to communicate. I was on a project with 17 other interns across 12 different departments and 4 different buildings.

Creativity

While working as an intern and at my family-owned business, I had to be very creative, especially when I was put in charge of projects that I was told had no boundaries.

Public Speaking

Along with working on the project with the 17 other interns, we had to present this project to the City Council of Palm Coast in an open session Council meeting with the Public present.

Time Management

Going along with the other three skills I have, while working as an intern, I had to manage my time very well. Especially when there were multiple projects to complete in a short amount of time for different bosses and the City Council.

Customer Service

When working in my family-run business, I gained a few skills with regards to customer service. When we had a store front, I would work as the cashier most of the time when I was not in the back managing the outflow of orders. I would also be there to answer any questions about the products any customer had, and if I could not answer then, my boss (my father) or colleagues (my brother and mother) would be within earshot to ask.

Management

When working for my family-run business, I learned many things about how to manage a business, as well as learning how to manage a warehouse, as I worked in both the business and warehouse for 7 years. I also began to use and improve these skills while working as an intern when I was placed in charge of a few projects, as well as sections of projects.
